수집가를 위한 청담동 아파트 레노베이션,2023
영동대교 남단의 한강 뷰를 가진 노후한 아파트가 미술품 수집가를 위한 공간으로 새롭게 태어났다.
기존 아파트 내부공간은 낮은 층고와 파편적이고 비효율적인 공간 구획, 공동주거 아파트가 가진 거대한 수직 설비샤프트에 잠식되고 분절되어 있었다. 디자이너의 관점에서 고층 공동주거 아파트는 쓸수있는 비어진 공간(empty, positive)과 움직일수 없는 굳어진 (solid, negative) 수직샤프트, 기계설비공간으로 구분된다. 리모델링을 통해 추가되어야 할 설비시스템, 즉 새로운 냉난방, 음향, 전기 시스템은 기존의 굳어진 공간으로 통합되고, 이를 통해 무의미하게 내부공간을 잠식하고 있던 설비공간이 재조직되어 새로운 공간의 리듬과 질감을 가지게 된다. 정교하게 공장에서 제작된 원목 스트립과 황동띠바로 구성되는 굳어진 설비공간은 비워진 내부공간의 배경이 됨과 동시에 지속가능하며 효율적인 공간 작동 시스템을 담당한다.
미술품 수집가인 클라이언트의 작품들이 진열 될 수 있도록 내부공간은 섬세하게 조율되었고, 소장하고 있는 그림의 크기와 종류에 부합하는 조명계획이 이루어졌다.
An old apartment with a view of the Han River in Seoul has been transformed into a space for new art collector client.
The interior space of the existing apartment was fragmented by the low floor height, inefficient spatial layout, and the huge vertical mechanical shaft of the high-rise residential apartment blocks. From a designer's perspective, the interior space of the old apartment divided into usable empty space (positive) and solid(negative) vertical shafts and mechanical service spaces that can not be moved. New heating, cooling, sound, and electrical systems, are integrated into the existing service space, and through this, the service space that was meaninglessly encroaching on the interior space is reorganized to take on the rhythm and texture of a new space. The new architectural rhythm and texture serve as the background for the empty interior space to be filled with daily life, while at the same time providing a sustainable and efficient spatial operation system.
The interior space was carefully adjusted so that the art collectioncs of the client could be displayed, and a lighting plan was created to match the size and type of paintings in the collection.
In addition, the service blocks are given a new rhythm through the repetition and composition of vertical wooden strips and brass band bars.
